Please visit...

http://meandmymo.blogspot.com/ and support one of my selected charities.
I'm hijacking Movember to kick-start my charity fund-raising campaign of my Clipper race. I'm actually asking you to sponsor me to keep this lovely moustache for the next 6 months! Please visit Me and My Mo for details of the campaign and select one of my charities to make a donation. A total of £3400 across them all will mean the mo stays until May 2010 so please ask your friends to take a look at the ridiculous photos in my Mo Gallery and vote for my next style of mo to wear in port.

PLease follow by blogs and come back here, and back to Me and My Mo, for news and photos of my Clipper race. See where the mo goes. Feel free to find me on Facebook too.

Just a week to go now...and Movember

I join Edinburgh Inspiring Capital in the Clipper Round the World Race on the 19th November (next week) and preparations to leave life in the UK for 8 months and start ocean racing havetaken over the last month or so. It's been a bit manic!

I'm nearly ready now and will be returning to the blog again shortly to update it with links to my chosen charity fund-raising pages and a few final stories and information before I set off to Cape Town. Updates and tweets will then follow me from port to port and I might even get some out from on board.

Also look out for photos of my participation in Movember. I've grown quite a beard ready to be trimmed in the style of Magnum PI or Fu Man Chu!

Here's one of me in training for Movember.

Back to the blog

Been away from things for a couple with my final part of training on the water and things but now have some more updates. The race to Rio is shaping and Edinburgh has started climbing up the leader board. We've put Hull & Humber behind us and hopefully by Saturday we'll be ahead of Qingdao and maybe even Cork too! However we're all now into the Doldrums and anything could happen before the drag race to Rio starts on the other side.
